On March 13, 2025, Iroquois Valley convened our annual shareholder meeting. It was an engaging session kicked off by our Board Chair, Anna Jones-Crabtree of Vilicus Farms. Anna shared her perspective on the current agricultural landscape in the United States as both a board member and an organic, regenerative farmer. Always inspiring, Anna offered many ways to support farmers in these turbulent times.
Next, our CEO, Chris Zuehlsdoff, spoke about our strategic growth initiatives, with an eye towards financial priorities and partnerships. He provided a robust portfolio and economic update. The new VP of Marketing & Communications, Nora Chovanec, highlighted the work of our Farm, Impact & Sustainability Committee, delving into our impact pillars and the tangible ways in which Iroquois Valley farmers are driving positive change.
Lastly, Board Director DD Burlin debuted our new flagship Farmer Success Sharing program. In 2025, we hope to use our shareholder-approved 2023 equity incentive plan to award each qualifying farmer a grant of REIT shares.
The Farmer Success Sharing program is a means to support the hard-working people who steward the land we own. Through their investment of time, expertise, and passion, they increase the value of Iroquois Valley’s farmland. They are the key component in our vision of improving the health of people, communities, and our planet. We believe this initiative demonstrates our dedication to our farmer partners, without whom none of what we do would be possible.
Please note that the meeting recording begins with images of our farmers and the audio starts at 3 min 50 seconds.
